What is the frequency of sleep paralysis without narcolepsy?
I have daytime sleepiness and sleep paralysis, but I do not think I narcolepsy. My neurologist sent me to a blood test because he suspected …. there is someone who has made this blood test and he can say? Is not it possible to have these symptoms without narcolepsy? I fear that this type of diagnosis will hurt me in my career. Answer

a doctor of sleep. Let your neurologist neurologist and sleep doctor diagnose you with his narcolepsy. Blood work is not really a good diagnostic tool for narcolepsy.
I’m not narcoleptic, but I suffered from sleep paralysis for a while, until I realize (or assumed I guess) that it was not dangerous at all.
There are always strange things happening around me during paralysis, and when I wake up, those are not there. Most people think of ghost, and that’s why they try so hard to get out of it.
Now I don’t even try to wake up. I know I’m safe, so I let myself taken into my imagination. Sometimes, you can even control it.
Next time, concentrate on flying, and you’ll see, sleep paralysis is actually quite fun.
