A new website, http://www.BanOxycontin.com designed to collect signatures for a petition has recently unveiled after a meeting gathering before the FDA. The U.S. Federal Drug Administration has carried out an “invitation only” meeting of 5 May 2009 in Rockville, Maryland, as an opportunity to take testimony on the need for severe restrictions on the use of opiates, like OxyContin and methadone. Invited to the meeting were Steven L. Hayes, director of Novus Medical Detox Center, Larry Golbom, pharmacists and host of the radio show Prescription Drug WGUL in Tampa, Marti Hottenstein HARMD of Dr. Art Van Zee, Pete Jackson and other proponents of reform prescription opioids (APODR).

It makes me sick that she is so widespread and so is highly addictive. “

Golbom Hayes and members of the Advocates for Prescription Drug Reform opioids (APODR) all work to limit the availability of narcotic drugs, like OxyContin educate the public and to physicians and patients about the risks involved in these drugs.
